EBE Real Weddings: Julie & Justin Skip to main content

The beauty of weddings is that every event is different. From style preferences and personal touches, to tradition and inspiration – each wedding is a unique product of the couple’s hard work and planning.

Speech-Language Therapist, Julie, and Lawyer, Justin, met when they were both students at Penn State. They immediately hit it off, and have been together ever since! We asked them to take us on a visual tour of their wedding day after hearing just how much fun it was from their band, Milan 77. They celebrated their beautiful Philadelphia Wedding on July 28th, 2018 at Vie by Cescaphe. Their wedding style was city chic and modern, with green and silver touches.Let’s walk through their day to see how they pulled it all together!

8:00 a.m. – Getting Ready

Julie & Justin both got ready at the Westin Philadelphia. Julie’s Stylist Team consisted of Hair by Amanda D’Andrea and Makeup by Jacqueline Cipullo of All Dolled Up.The couple’s Photographer, Svetlana Photography, and Videographer, Innovation Weddings, arrived for some getting ready photos and video at the hotel.

2:15 p.m. – First Look

The couple party went downstairs for their first look. Julie wore a Francesca Miranda Wedding Gown that she purchased with her veil from The Wedding Shoppe in Wayne, PA. Justin wore a Tuxedo from Enzo Custom in NYC.

Julie, Justin, and their Wedding Party headed over to the Rodin Museum to take some pre-ceremony photos. Julie’s Bridesmaids wore black floor-length dresses of their choosing, and Justin’s Groomsmen wore tuxedos. After taking their Wedding Party portraits, their bus from Philadelphia Trolley Works arrived to bring them to Vie for a few more portraits before the ceremony.

6:30 p.m. – Ceremony

Julie & Justin were married at Vie by two officiants – A Cantor, who is a close friend of Julie’s mother, and A Rabbi, who is a close friend of Justin’s mother. Their ceremony music consisted of EBE’s Milan 77‘s string section and flute. The Groom & full Wedding Party entered to the tune of Sweet Disposition by Temper Trap, and the Bride entered to We Bought A Zoo by Jonsi. After they said their vows, the newly married couple and their Wedding Parties exited to Come and Get Your Love by Redbone.

7:00 p.m. – Cocktail Hour

Cocktail Hour began in the venue’s pre-function space with an endless spread of food by Cescaphe Events, including a Chilled Seafood Bar and passed Hors d’Oeuvres. A duo from EBE’s Milan 77 played live music while the Cescaphe staff flipped the ceremony room for the reception. Nancy Saam Flowers worked alongside the staff to display large elephant ear tropical leaves in tall, glass cylinder vases and draped white orchids throughout the venue.

8:00 p.m. – Reception

The reception doors opened, and the guests were ready to party! Julie & Justin were introduced as Husband and Wife for the first time, they shared their first dance to Sunday Morning by Maroon 5. After that, EBE’s Milan 77 was ready to fill the dance floor.

We were able to ask Julie & Justin a few questions about their wedding day… Check it out!

What was your favorite part of wedding planning?

We had so much fun choosing the songs for the ceremony and the reception. We also loved choosing the menu for the night.

What was your favorite moment from your wedding?

The best part of the wedding was definitely being on the dance floor all night with our closest friends and family during the reception. Towards the end of the ceremony, we got on stage and sang a song with the band.

What was it like working with EBE?

Working with EBE was an amazing! Everyone was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. Without a doubt, Milan 77 made the party the best night of our lives. The band leader, LaMont, went above and beyond to meet all of our requests and offered suggestions and advice. The entire band kept up the energy from the beginning to the end, dancing and interacting with the guests. Choosing an EBE band was the easiest and the best decision we made.

What made you choose EBE?

Milan 77 played at my sister’s wedding in 2016 and they were amazing! They were the first vendor we booked after we chose our date.

If you could’ve changed something about your wedding, what would it have been?

NOTHING!

What is your advice to future EBE brides and grooms in regards to the stress of wedding planning and the choosing of vendors?

Relax and don’t sweat the small things because you aren’t going to pay any attention to the minor details on the day of!
