PHILADELPHIA—For years, party givers and planners have waged the age-old debate—DJ vs. band. And until now there has been no appropriate compromise—but this is about to change!
Philadelphia entertainment company EBE is launching Efusion, a new hybrid division to satisfy clients who cannot make the decision between a DJ and a band for their events—and would prefer not to choose at all!
Efusion—featuring a four-to-nine piece band performing with a DJ, who mixes music to complement the live band and coordinates live karaoke, is the perfect solution to the longstanding dilemma. This concept has already revolutionized party planning on the West Coast and now EBE is bringing it to the City of Brotherly Love.
DJ Stiles, one half of a new Efusion band will be performing at a private party given by EBE at 7 p.m., Thursday Sept. 20 at the Z-Bar, 1000 Spring Garden Street. DJ Stiles has been a resident DJ at clubs in Delaware, Philadelphia and New York City and has worked with world-renowned MTV Spring Break DJ and producer, DJ Amaze.
EBE’s newly formed band Milan77 will also perform at the party. Milan77’s members have performed with Johnny O and the Classic Dogs of Love and toured with Rusted Root, G. “This option is more affordable than a band, but more expensive than a DJ,” explains Mike Gendler, a partner of EBE. “But with Efusion you get so many more options, a DJ who is more like a club or house DJ and live karaoke, which helps liven up any party.”
Gendler says that inevitably in every crowd there is a group of people who would love to see themselves on stage—and this new form of entertainment allows them to share in the limelight.
