If you have ever heard the term, “quality not quantity” you would only have half of the story correct if it was about DJ Ben Ostroff. The 25 year pro has had plenty of gigs and wild experiences to say that he has basically seen it all. The mere fact that he has the quantity of 800 events alone since 2003 speaks to the quality of his skills. So how did Ben get to be where he is today?

To begin with, Ben got his start at Camp Green Lane with his brother Matt as a radio DJ for what was to be only a week. Their style proved to be far superior to the others and grew more and more popular, resulting in their show lasting the whole summer. It was only a matter of time before people outside of the camp were catching on and began requesting them for their own personal parties. Through the years, Ben has brought his unique blend of timing and creativity to hundreds of venues ranging not only from weddings and Mitzvahs, but to corporate events as well as background entertainment.

It is obvious that Ben likes what he does or else why would he be doing it so much? But what is it about being a DJ that keeps him ticking? According to Ben it would be , “the immediate gratification of the crowd...the role I play in bringing so much joy to so many people is an incredible rush.” As far as his favorite moments, Ben said that the first dance at a wedding would be, “ where the spotlight really gets to shine on the bride and groom, which is where it belongs. It is by far my favorite part of the night.”

And if you can throw in some Bruce Springsteen, he promises he won't complain at all!
