EBE playing "I SPY"?Posted by: Pat Hart on Jan 21, 2010 |

With wedding season still a few months away, it would seem to most outsiders that event planners would have a bit of downtime during this time of the year. However this is not the case for most pros involved in EBE. For example, Elaine Igoe was recently given the responsibility of planning this year's Soccer Product of the Year (SPY) awards show at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
This event was right smack in the middle of all of the players, coaches and soccer fans, who descended upon Philadelphia to experience the 2010 Major League Soccer draft! The who's who of the soccer world were able to see for themselves just who was the best at creating their sport's products. Elaine was hand picked to run the event by Top Drawer Soccer, the creators of the “SPY” awards, and after seeing the execution of the party it is easy to see why.
This night could very well have been 'just another awards show' night, had EBE not provided the cutting edge technology of plasma screens to show both the live feed of the event and Twitter posts of the awards show. The top quality lighting to give a sporty and entertaining edge was only more enhanced by one of the area's finest DJ's (Dave Burlock) who provided the music. The event even saw the host of “Good Day Philadelphia” Mike Jerrick as the MC. When asked about Jerrick, Elaine said “he was fantastic...he is a good reason why a lot of people stayed in the room.” With the combination of professionalism and experience, the EBE crew had the room packed and glued to the stage for the duration of the event. If you were wondering if it was received well by those in attendance, Top Drawer Soccer representatives say that “Comments and compliments are still pouring in!”
All in all, it is safe to say that these types of events can be a unusual, in the fact that they are not what EBE is known for. But evenings like this enable us to show how well-rounded EBE is as both an entertainment and event planning company. Congratulations to Elaine for doing a wonderful job at the Convention Center! It is this kind of hard work and professionalism which makes our company proud to be among the cream of the crop in the entertainment business!
